Pumpkin Bust

Since 2013, Lambda Chi Alpha has been nationally partnered with Feeding America, a nonprofit charity focused on feeding more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters. Each year, active chapters and colonies at over 200 universities participate in collecting non-perishable goods to be distributed to collection centers around the United States.

We do this through our Pumpkin (or Watermelon) Bust philanthropy event with several participating sororities in our effort to raise awareness for national hunger.   In 2017, the chapter raised $2320.06 and 1390 lbs. of food goods for the Second Harvest food bank in Lafayette.

Community Service

So far in 2018, the men of Iota Omega have worked over 650 hours of community service and given $2700 to various charities and non-profits! As a brotherhood, we are active in participating in multiple sorority philanthropies throughout the year to support their charitable goals. Some of these philanthropies include: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Ronald McDonald House, The Arthritis Foundation and more!
